Dedicated Captains Ready to Lead Team into County and State
Brookwood Swim and Dive has one last regular season swim meet remaining Friday against Dacula and Duluth before heading into the Gwinnett County Championships and Georgia High School State Championships. Heading into the last month of Swim and Dive Season, Bronco girls are lead by Seniors Hannah Burke, Lily Nguyen and Sophia Reese. The boys are lead by Graham Simmon, Will Smith and Daniel Dang. The captains continue to unite the team as one group heading into season's biggest meets. Go Broncos!

Brookwood Girls finish 3rd, Boys 5th at State Championships
Congratulations to the Brookwood Girls finishing 3rd, Boys finishing 5th at State Championships this past weekend at Georgia Tech. There were many notable swims, with Senior Lily Burke leading the way winning Gold in the 7A State Title in the 200 IM and 100 Free. Senior Reagan Sweeney finished fourth in both of her events, the 200 Free and 100 Fly. The team of Burke, Sweeney, Mary Kate Weitzel and Hanna Burke finished second and winning Silver in the 200 Free Relay and Bronze finishing third in the 400 Free Relay. On Boy's side, Nate Stoffle came in second in 100 Fly, then came back and won Gold medal in 100 Back. Stoffle also lead the way in 200 Medley Relay, helping the team of Graham Simmon, Chris Scalzi and Daniel Dang win Silver and finish second. Teammates Nolan Patterson (fifth in 200 free, 1:41.69 and sixth in 100 free, 46.75) and Matthew Scalzi (seventh in 100 back, 51.25) also took home points.
